  I went in with my wife to open a checking account and will never go back to this particular branch. We had an outstanding balance of a 450 dollars and wanted to pay it, which would resume our bank account. We called recovery services and the agent told us it would be okay to pay this balance. We went in and we were assisted by a woman named Janice (older woman, very snobby accent). She refused to help us, saying it was the BoA's policy to refuse to let us reopen a new account unless we paid the balance in cash. (PS-We had a 35000.00 check that was owed to us) She stated that she was not allowing us to have an account and that we would have to go elsewhere. She was rude, very unprofessional, took a letter from my wife's hands that had nothing to do with the bank issue and had judgemental tones in her voice. It was as if she thought we had a fake check or it was impossible for a young couple to have this amount of money. Long story short, we went to another BoA branch and had NO PROBLEM opening a new account. Either she was a judgemental bitter old person and lied about BoA policies or she simply didn't want us to open an account at her branch. Either way, we got our account opened and I felt she was lying to us to hide her contempt for a younger couple who had done well for themselves and simply wanted to open an account.
